Well, tax season is finally over. Work on the site won't begin immediately, because I have to take care of various errands and such that I've been putting off for a while. But I'll be getting to it quite soon.
If you have any suggestions on what you'd like to see in the new site, please make them now before production gets underway. It's a lot easier to add things up front than to re-build things after the fact. So if there's something you really want to see, post it on the shoutbox, post or message me on the WMA Facebook page, or just send me an email.
Another brief update:
For those that don't know, my "day job" is in the accounting industry. What this means for the WMA is that, with the deadline for income tax filing coming up on April 15th, the time I'm able to dedicate to rebuilding the WMA site is severely limited.
This update is just to let you all know that I'm still alive, and I still intend to rebuild. I only ask that you please wait patiently until the busy season ends.
The shoutbox is now live. As stated earlier, a larger reworking of the site is currently in the planning stage. Whether it proceeds -- and how fast it does so -- is primarily dependent upon how interested you, the Wisconsin Metal fans, are. So if you'd like to see something here, please like & post on the Facebook page, send me an e-mail, or just post a message in the new shoutbox.
Just a brief update this time:
I have a little something in the works. No promises on how soon it will happen, but hopefully it'll be useful. In the mean time, I'm also working on a simple Shoutbox so that we can at least maintain some sort of communication.
Well, ladies and gents, it would appear that the website has been hacked. Some malicious idiot decided it would be fun to go and delete the entire forum database. Unfortunately, the most recent backup is rather outdated, so it wouldn't be feasible at this point to attempt a restoration.
That said, the Wisconsin Metal Alliance has been a large part of my life for a solid decade -- I can't just throw my arms up and abandon it. I'll do what I can to make sure it lives on in some fashion.
In the mean time, I ask that you please show your support by visiting the WMA's official Facebook Page. Likewise, feel free to send me an email if you would like to be notified of any future developments. Make sure to include your forum username so I know who you are.
With that said, I'd like to thank all of the WMA's supporters for a ton of great memories. Regardless of what might happen in the future, I'll always have those.
